Sponsor Our Hedgehogs!
Whilst we do everything possible to return hedgehogs to the wild, unfortunately due to disability of some form we occasionally have to keep hedgehogs in our safe environment. Usually in a specific run &/or in the specially built Hedgehog Garden. Over winter each will be brought in to keep them safe & protected from the elements.
These hedgehogs often need special requirements & we therefore
ask for people to Sponsor these lovely, vulnerable creatures. Please
see below the ones currently available for Sponsoring. Others will be

Kenny
Kenny came in with a head injury, fractured jaw & unable to close his mouth, therefore unable to eat. He became very humanised as his jaw was broken to be reset meaning he was bottle fed, weaned & eventually on ‘normal food’ in very shallow bowls. He has his own run & is enjoying he company of Snowflake. It is the nearest to life back outside, that he will cope with.
Snowflake
Snowflake is an Albino hedgehog & arrived with an open wound. She had been attacked due to her colour, possibly by other hedgehogs, but most likely other animals. She is very happy with Kenny in their very pretty hedgehog run, rather like a small garden, with flowers to attract insects, a beautifully large house and their own pond. A diverse array of bushes & plants for coverage & further attraction of insects. A temporary ‘feeding station’ for night time ‘wet food’ and a grass area to run about in, plus a mud patch for digging.
